MUTRL

Welcome to MUTRL. These Terms are the agreement between you and Thomas Tice ("we," "us," "our") for using the MUTRL app and related services (the "Service"). By using MUTRL, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use MUTRL. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding agreement with us.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You agree to provide accurate account information.
MUTRL is a personal relationship companion: it helps you organize the people you care about, log interactions, keep private notes and journals, and receive reminders to reach out. It is a tool for your personal use to support your own relationships.
You own the content you create in MUTRL — your notes, journal entries, contacts you add, interactions, and reminders. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, store, sync, back up, and display that content to you so the Service can function. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for advertising.
You're responsible for the content you add, including information about other people. You agree to use MUTRL in a way that respects others' privacy and complies with applicable law, and not to use it to harass, stalk, or harm anyone.
You agree not to:
MUTRL includes optional AI-assisted features, such as relationship search, contact-memory extraction, suggested message drafts, and summaries, powered by a third-party AI provider. These features require your affirmative data sharing consent before MUTRL sends request content to the provider. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. It's offered as a starting point — please review and edit anything before relying on or sending it. You are responsible for what you choose to do with AI-generated suggestions. How data is handled for these features is described in our Privacy Policy.
MUTRL relies on third-party providers (including for authentication, cloud sync, AI generation, and error reporting). Your use of the Service may be subject to their terms, and we aren't responsible for the practices of services we don't control.
MUTRL is currently offered free of charge and does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll present the terms and pricing clearly before you're charged.
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, and is incorporated into these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders or AI output will always be accurate or delivered on time. MUTRL is a personal organizing tool and is not a substitute for professional advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using MUTRL and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may update these Terms or modify the Service over time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use MUTRL after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
